The Demand for Enterprise Software to Go Down in 2009: Gartner

As per research firm Gartner, the demand for Enterprise Software worldwide is going to weaken 6.6 percent next year to total $244.3 billion. Gartner’s previous projection for the year 2009 was $253.1 billion. The demand for Mobile computing, service oriented architecture (SOA), Web services, operating systems, and office suites will witness downward trend, but money saving technologies such as virtualization and open source software will gain momentum.
