Ingeniux Launched New Web Hosted CMS for Enterprise Clients

Ingeniux, a leading provider of Enterprise 2.0 Content Management System (CMS), recently announced three new software-as-a-service packages which will be available on demand. To support growth in software-as-a-service Ingeniux has opened a second data center. Co-located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The different packages are: Ingeniux On-Demand VM Essential - supports up to 15 users and 1 website Ingeniux On-Demand VM Pro - supports up to 50 users and 3 websites Ingeniux On-Demand VM Enterprise - supports up to 200 users and 20 websites. The price for the packages start at $1,900 per month and include Ingeniux CMS software, managed CMS hosting, and technical support.

“Software-as-a-Service has become increasingly attractive to our customers: it is less expensive, presents a greener, more energy efficient footprint, and is easier to manage and deploy,” said Jim Edmunds, Ingeniux President and CEO. “With our new on-demand packages we can provide an affordable, fully managed, Web content management solution that scales to meet any customer requirement.”

The CMS is built upon Windows Server 2003. It does not require any database. Content is stored as XML documents. Ingeniux CMS uses proprietary XML processors to process any content based information. The technology has some leverage compared to other server technologies like .NET, Cold Fusion, Java Server Pages or PHP.

The CMS customers have some advantages for using dedicated virtual servers. They can schedule software upgrades when they want, load custom applications, and more easily integrate with back office applications. Also, dedicated servers improve theĀ  performance of the application compared to shared one. Additionally, it is going to to be easier for customers to switch to an on-premise deployment.
