Recently, Mozilla lab opened a project called “The Concept Series” in order to share future concept of Web from users. The new project requested users to collaborate their ideas. Mozilla released three videos about the new project. Aurora is the brainchild of the project that Mozilla likes to introduce by teaming up with Adaptive path.
Aurora was designed with the intent of creating what the Web of the future will look like. Featuring an integrated Web and desktop environment, Aurora works in three dimensions on the desktop.
“Today we’re calling on industry, higher education and people from around the world to get involved and share their ideas and expertise as we collectively explore and design future directions for the Web,” states the Mozilla Labs blog.
The first concept shows the new ways people can interact with the web in future, based upon the trend of future technologies. The second concept is a different way of visualizing and interacting with bookmarks. The last one is the mobile UI proposal for Firefox browser.
The new browser will hide the browser frame until needed. Users will be able to grab and move data sets across the page. A new controller would be added and pictorial representations of history, temporary internet files and objects on the page.
