Dating DNA is a free service designed specifically to work with all Social Networking sites, providing one-click compatibility scoring through the use of unique “Dating DNA Numbers.” Recently it announced a full-featured online dating system for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Users can get their free Dating DNA Number by visiting www.datingdna.com and answering a series of questions about themselves and their dating preferences, a process which takes around 15 to 30 minutes. Dating DNA encapsulates over 300 pieces of information down into a single 9-digit number, including all the particulars about a person and the type of people they prefer to date. For example, encoded in the number is a person’s hair color, height, line of employment, religion, if they have children, political leanings, and hundreds of other pieces of information
Just like online dating is shifting its focus away from dating site like match.com to Social Networking Site like Facebook, so a lot of people are using cell phone for interacting socially.
You can check out Dating DNA (which is free) from a desktop browser (www.datingdna.com) or from Dating DNA’s special iPhone/iPod touch URL (www.datingdna.com/iphone). You can browse photos there and get compatibility scores with other Dating DNA users.
The Web App allows you to browse users, add them to your “favorite” list (which they call a DNA Strand). CEO Kevin Carmony tells that they’re working on a native iPhone app that’s “pretty slick.”
