Despite the current downturn of of US economy, there is growing need for skilled people in the area of SOA and SAP Netweaver. That’s why SAP skills have grown between 25% and 30% in value in six months and by as much as 57% in the past 12 months, according to the latest study.
The study further says that the focus of attention in technology front are SAP Web Application Server, production planning, business objects, quality management, strategic enterprise management, product lifecycle management, human capital management (HCM), and master data management (MDM). This is a good news for IT people during the time of economic crisis when 13,000 IT jobs may be lost in recent restructurings at HP, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch as per recent speculation.
As per the market survey firm Foote Partners’ IT Skills, the IT department of the company who are implementing SAP’s Netweaver are looking for people with specialized skills and experience. It depends upon the students what are the modules of SAP they want to learn. Now a Days, most of the companies can not afford to train the people. That’s why they are looking for people who already have those skills.
