Sun Made a Deal with a Reputed ERP Software Company to Deploy GlassFish and MySql Solution
Sun Microsystems has added one more leading ERP company, Stésud as a growing list of customers. The company deployed Sun’s mySql Database and GlassFish Application Server for further development of software solution.
Sun bet on open source as an enterprise business model years ago and the adoption curve we’re seeing in 2008 validates this business and financial model. Companies from around the globe and from all business sectors are shifting to open source solutions that include Sun’s open source Java(TM) software and OpenSolaris as the operating system,” said Rich Green, executive vice-president, Software, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
With the help of the core technologies from Sun, Stésud has been able to dependably migrate to a more scalable and reliable Web database architecture for the future. The company is going to run its existing as well as new applications on this platform.
GlassFish, an enterprise-quality Java EE 5 application server provides features like advanced clustering, centralized administration, and best-in-class performance and it is one of the leading open source application servers in the industry today. MySQL is one of the world’s most popular open source database software. Many big companies use this database for their critical business applications.
This Belgium-based enterprise company Stésud joins Australian online travel company Wotif.com and hundreds of other companies who rely on MySQL and GlassFish as a lower-cost, higher-performance alternative compared to traditional database and application server software.
