Xobni, the Email Organizer Makes Outlook Smarter

Xobni, based in San Francisco, is introducing a new tool on Monday that plugs into Outlook. Many users of Outlook complain that the more the program is used, the slower it gets and the harder it is to search for e-mail addresses and phone numbers. To solve these problems, Xobni ( pronounced zob-nee) has produced free downloadable software that, once installed, indexes all the e-mail in Outlook and makes those messages quickly and easily searchable.

Xobni integrates into your Outlook installation and shows you more about your e-mails than Outlook can itself. For each person who sends you e-mail, it shows you who else they communicate with a lot and it finds their phone number from inside their e-mails. It also shows you all conversation threads you’ve participated in with the person, and all the attachments they’ve sent you. You can drill into message threads (very useful), and it has an e-mail search engine built in.
Xobni notable features:

– Lightning fast email search
– Threaded conversations
– People-centric navigation
– Expose your contacts’ email habits
– Automatically extracted phone numbers from address book and prior email conversations
– Easy attachment discovery
– One click scheduling
– Email analytics

“Xobni analyzes mountains of data and shows you what matters –your
relationships, your communication habits, context around messages–
information trapped in email that’s often lost or forgotten. Exposing that data to people is incredibly valuable; it reveals a network of relationships that email software designed 20 years ago leaves disjointed. We connect the dots to draw a clearer picture of every aspect of your life that flows through email,” said Matt Brezina, co-founder of Xobni.
