CISCO to Acquire Jabber to Enhance Enterprise Communication
Friday, September 19th, 2008Cisco announced its desire to acquire Jabber, provider of Messaging solution. The acquisition will help Cisco compete with Microsoft in communication market. Jabber’s open source messaging solution enables enterprise communication system across different communication servers like Microsoft Office and IBM Lotus Sametime. Jabber also integrates with online mail and IM services from AOL, Google, and Yahoo.
