Intel’s Upcoming Larrabee Project

Intel announced on Monday about their forthcoming Larrabee architecture which is going to be the foundation for their future Intel “many-core” graphics processors. This will be a major shift from their Pentium Pro based architecture model. They will present the model at the upcomg SIGGRAPH 2008 conference.

Microsoft is Expected to Deliver Windows 7 Next Year

Microsoft Corp. has dropped two strong hints in the past two days that the next version of its Windows operating system, Windows 7, will arrive in 2009, shaving up to a year off previous expectations. Windows 7 was previously known by the code name Vienna. A server variant, codenamed Windows Server 7, is also under development. Screenshots of early betas of Windows 7 are appearing.
