Digg founder Kevin Rose outlined at Web 2.0 summit that the span of financial crisis is ideal time to launch a startup. He also said that a handful number of companies will get into the business during bad time for liquidity crunch. That’s why there will be more media attention on smaller companies.

Socialcast recently announced the latest version of Socialcast 3.0, a Twitter type of collaboration tool for sharing the ideas for small and medium enterprises. The micro blogging tool can be used to replace the intranet of a company. The company can sign up for a free 30-day trial of the service with no early termination fees and thereafter they will be charged $5 per user per month beyond 1000 employees.

When people get along with friends online they talk about music, review movies, share travel stories, exchange photos, discuss videogames and chat about life. Since the release of iPhone there is a rush to launch new Mobilesite. Digg took advantage of it and launched its new mobile site m.digg.com. All graphics and other unnecessary information has been completely disabled off this data, allowing it to load on a mobile device as quickly as possible.
