Sun Launches OGSI based Lightweight Web Application Server

Sun recently announced the availability of subscription and support of   Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server version 3 Prelude Application Server based on OGSI architecture and upcoming Java EE 6. Sun is targeting Apache Tomcat servlet container as potential users of Glassfish v3 Prelude because it is lightweight, easy to use, open source, and has easy administration.

Sun Microsystems Launched Web Service, OpenSSO Enterprise

Sun Microsystem announced today OpenSSO Enterprise, an open access management solution for corporates. The secure web service is designed to address core single sign-on (SSO) problems that a company faces. OpenSSO Enterprise was built in collaboration with OpenSSO, the world’s largest open source, identity management project. The enterprise can simplify the process of managing user identities across different applications with the help of this solution.
