Sun recently announced the availability of subscription and support of Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server version 3 Prelude Application Server based on OGSI architecture and upcoming Java EE 6. Sun is targeting Apache Tomcat servlet container as potential users of Glassfish v3 Prelude because it is lightweight, easy to use, open source, and has easy administration.

A recent press briefing explains different Linux related bugs in the Motherboards that are manufactured by Foxconn. The trouble prone area is AMI BIOS that several board makers use. Foxconn is the first vendor out with a publicly released test patch that fixes the bulk of the problems. The patch allows kernel 2.6.26 to run well on the G33M series.

Hewlett Packard on Monday said it is making its Tru64 Unix Advanced File System available under the open-source General Public License, version 2. The AdvFS file system, which was originally developed for Digital Equipment Corp. Alpha Unix machines, can be adopted to Linux, the company said.

Microsoft was not the only place that would’ve made mistakes in the area of Kernel Code. Multiple Linux flaws show that it has also Kernel issue. This is a common flaw across operating systems that is difficult to catch due to the complexities of kernel code.
