IBM unveiled new FileNet-heritage Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software for managing business processes at Information on Demand conference. The software uses Collaborative Agile framework with SOA and WEB 2.0 technologies to manage workflow in an enterprise for content and human centric processes. It helps organization to manage process performance, reduce cycle times and improve productivity and decision making by automating, streamlining and optimizing processes.

Cisco today launched new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) type collaboration portfolio. The Cisco collaboration portfolio consists of Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco TelePresence and a new Web 2.0 application platform. The collaboration network will help people collaborate, communicate and connect from any business application.

IBM unveiled new Mashup center for free trial for people who want to experiment and build customized mashup. By using this Mashup center, user will be able to remix business application from anywhere to do their job in a smarter way. Even non-technical people will be able to access the technologies like Web sites and feeds, spreadsheets, databases, applications, unstructured text from an email, video, audio and other information on the Web.

Yuil is a mashup of Yahoo search results (using their BOSS platform). The interface looks like that of the alleged Google killer cuil. The service runs on Google App Engine. BOSS is unique among search engine APIs, giving developers full level of control over results generated by Yahoo’s search engine.
