Westfalia Technologies, Inc., provider of logistics solution for industries, announced the release of Warehouse Management system Savanna .NET Ver 2.0. The upgraded version has the additional features like user error handling system, and it supports both Oracle and SQL Server database platforms. It can also manage conventional and automated warehousing systems.

Microsoft recently announced the new server technology, Dublin to the .Net Framework that will give new exposure to the Service Oriented architecture for the web Developers. The software will be available initially as an add-on that can be downloaded. Later, it can be integrated with the Operating System.

Sapiens, a leading provider of IT solutions, just announced new Microsoft and .Net based platforms for the dynamic development of enterprise software. The new .Net platform (Beta) will be first available in Japan. Sapiens estimates that the new platform is going to generate between $2 million and $3 million in revenues.

Microsoft will roll out beta 2 of Silverlight 2 at its TechEd Developers conference this week. Silverlight is Microsoft’s application-development and delivery platform for Web-based multimedia. Microsoft released the first version of Silverlight last September to compete with Adobe Flash.

Wine, an open source free implementation of Windows on Linux, released new ver 0.9.59. Wine provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris.
