Sun recently announced the availability of subscription and support of Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server version 3 Prelude Application Server based on OGSI architecture and upcoming Java EE 6. Sun is targeting Apache Tomcat servlet container as potential users of Glassfish v3 Prelude because it is lightweight, easy to use, open source, and has easy administration.
Microsoft recently announced the availability of new OS platform Windows Azure at the start of Microsoft’s Professional Developer Conference. Windows Azure will to provide service hosting and management, low-level scalable storage, computation and networking. Microsoft recently announced the new server technology, Dublin to the .Net Framework that will give new exposure to the Service Oriented architecture for the web Developers. The software will be available initially as an add-on that can be downloaded. Later, it can be integrated with the Operating System.
