According to Gartner, Enterprise portals are the major applications of  SOA concepts. Liferay Inc is an open source company who focuses mainly on Enterprise Portals. Liferay Portal 5.2 Enterprise edition was designed for building EJB (Enterprise JavaBeans) and distributing the transactions across multiple servers. As per research by independent analyst firm, CMS Watch, LinkedIn is moving very rapidly to cater the social networking need of Enterprise people in comparison with Facebook. If functional standpoint is considered, LinkedIn takes over Facebook in Information Filtering and Discussion. Although, neither blog provides the project tracking service like wiki. CMS Watch reviewed 26 platforms that includes vendors like IBM, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Jive, Telligent, Awareness, Drupal, SocialText, Lithium, and Ning, as well as Facebook and LinkedIn.

The new solution will help companies figure out business solution in relation with Web 2.0 and social applications.
