Once your computer has been infected, a virus or worm will usually attempt to spread itself to your friends, family and associates by accessing your email contacts and networked PCs. The infection may also allow hackers to access files on your Mac, use it as a zombie to launch attacks against other computers and websites or to send mass SPAM email.

Study Says Firefox is the Most Secure Browser

Over 600 million users are surfing the Web with a potentially unsafe browser, according to a Swiss study released this week. Among the least compliant were users of Internet Explorer, which currently dominates the Internet browser market. The study was conducted by ETH Zurich, Google, and IBM, examined the Google logs of users browsing the Web between January 2007 and June 2008.

Dangerous Domain is Identified as per New Report

All domains are not equal, when you browse internet for safe web sites. Companies that assign addresses for Web sites appear to be cutting corners on security more when they assign names in certain domains than in others, according to a report to be released Wednesday by antivirus software vendor McAfee Inc.
