JTrac 2.1.0 is an open source issue tracking web application software, written in Java and it is bundled with Jetty Web Application Server. JTrac is distributed as a WAR file. You can easily install it by dropping the software at your servlet engine. The JTrac web-application checks the environment on startup and if a configured database is not detected, HSQLDB is used by default. SpringSource, maker of the popular open-source Spring Framework for Java, announced new open source Web Application Server for Enterprises based on Apache Tomcat server. The new server preserves all of the features of Tomcat but adds some capabilities like enterprise management and diagnostic features. The tc server costs $500 per CPU per year for an enterprise-level subscription. Version 6.0.18 of Tomcat is featured with tc Server. The enterprise server is due in January.

The latest version of web application framework, Ruby On Rails 2.2 was just released. The software provides internationalization framework and stronger support for HTTP validators. Internationalization is the default feature and HTTP validators is provided by in the form of eTag.
