Intel is going to announce its latest release XML Software Suite 1.2 at SOA World Conference & Expo, November 19-21, 2008. The recent release will optimize the overall performance of SOA, SaaS and Web 2.0 based applications while lowering cost of ownership. Suite 1.2 is a set of C++ and Java runtime libraries for Linux and Windows. It offers better XML parsing and schema validation and makes XML Software Suite easier to integrate with Java development software.

AS per the recent survey conducted by Evans Data survey, IBM’s Websphere replaced BEA Weblogic as the top ranking Application Server. Oracle acquired Weblogic in April this year. The respondents favored Websphere highly because of its support for J2EE and Enterprise Java Bean.

IBM unveiled new Mashup center for free trial for people who want to experiment and build customized mashup. By using this Mashup center, user will be able to remix business application from anywhere to do their job in a smarter way. Even non-technical people will be able to access the technologies like Web sites and feeds, spreadsheets, databases, applications, unstructured text from an email, video, audio and other information on the Web.

IBM struck a deal to acquire ILOG that valued $340 million . IBM will merge ILOG into its WebSphere brand which will enhance the capability of its middleware. Middleware includes web servers, application servers, and similar tools that support application development and delivery. ILOG BRMS provides easy, safe and predictable control over automated business decisions with the right tools for business managers, analysts, architects and developers

Version 6.2 of Tivoli Federated Identity Manager, designed by IBM allows employees, customers or partners to log on to a company’s Web site, get their identity authenticated and then have that site vouch for their identity while they try to gain access to other companies’ Web sites and networks.
